While the topic of money can at times make for some awkward conversation, Jesus spoke about it more than any other single theme or idea and references to handling money and possessions are found throughout scripture, both Old and New Testaments alike.
It is clearly an important subject, one that requires us to make a response…. first with our hearts and then with our wallets. Here’s our take on the matter:
utilise tithes to support the week-to-week running of church ministries, in support of local, national and international missions and in managing operational expenses such as staffing (pastoral & administrative) and utilities.
receive and utilise Building Fund pledges from which contributions go towards servicing building loan repayments, managing insurance requirements, facilitating improvements and assisting in the overall upkeep of our wonderful facility.
at times receive and utilise special offerings for visiting ministers, in support of specific identified ministry opportunities such as Love Christmas Love Canberra and church planting support.
C3 Monash is a generous church, a church full of people whose hearts and lives are committed to following Jesus and so naturally it follows that generosity is a key part of who we are. Those who call C3 Monash home know that to be connected means being committed relationally and with the time, talents and financial resources that God has given us.
